I do understand that you are waiting for an updated driver for Microsoft Lifecam which is compatible with Windows 8.
But still you can install the drivers which are available for Windows 7 in Windows 7 compatibility Mode.
Install the drivers in Compatibility mode.
Download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website. If Windows 8 drivers are not available, you can install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode. Follow these steps:
